June and July 2011 saw four Jesus Youth trainings at an international level. Starting off the series was the Exposure Programme (JYIEP) from 10-19 June at St. Norbert Bhavan, Bangalore. This year was the second batch and had 25 participants from Thailand, Bhutan, UAE, USA and India. The days opened them up to the richness of the Catholic faith and the beauty of a lifestyle rooted in the constants. The group was accompanied by a dynamic Training Team, led by Rodney Pereira (Co-ordinator) and Fr. Cheriyan Nereveetil (Pastor). The next three trainings were held at the scenic Redemptorist Centre in Pattaya, Thailand.

21 young people from 8 different countries readied themselves to become missionaries at the Fulltime Volunteers’ Training (JYIFT) from 25th June to 22nd July. The training, happening for the sixth year, was co-ordinated by Siljo Thomas along with Fr. Mathew Abraham C.Ss.R. as the Pastor. The young volunteers are now actively living out their year-long commitment in 13 countries across 5 continents.

The 4th International Leadership Training (JYILT) organised from 26th June to 9th July had twenty-five Jesus Youth leaders from different parts of the world. It was a time of sharing and learning to become true missionaries ready to serve the Lord, at all cost. The leaders were privileged to be guided by the best of resource persons like Raiju Varghese (Training Co-ordinator) and Fr. Bitaju Mathew (Pastor).

From 12th to 23rd July, twelve animators from 4 countries participated in the Animators’ Training (JYIAT) to better understand their role as Youth Animators in today’s changing world. The mixed group of priests, religious sisters and laity were catered to by JY elders and trainers with vast experience. Fr. Sebastian Arikat and Jomy Abraham co-ordinated this training which has been happening annually since 2007.
