Jesus Youth UK prayerfully inaugurated its Jubilee Year in January 2026, marking a grace-filled milestone in the journey of the movement across the United Kingdom. The celebrations were enriched by the visit of Raiju Varghese, former International Coordinator and Mission Director of Jesus Youth International.

Regional Jubilee Conferences

As part of the Jubilee inauguration, regional conferences were held across the country, bringing together members for renewal, fellowship and recommitment to the mission. The gatherings took place in:

Manchester – 10 January
Birmingham – 24 January
Northampton – 24 January
Bristol – 31 January
London – 31 January
Sheffield – 7 February
Scotland – 7 February
Portsmouth – 14 February

Each region celebrated in its own context, reflecting on God’s faithfulness over the years and seeking a fresh anointing for the mission ahead.

Raiju Varghese served as the main speaker at the Birmingham, London and Sheffield conferences, encouraging members to deepen their personal relationship with Christ and to embrace the Jubilee call with renewed missionary zeal.

Leadership Orientation Gatherings

In addition to the regional conferences, Orientation Leaders’ Gatherings were organised for the newly formed regional teams:

Manchester & Sheffield Leaders – 11 January
Portsmouth, London & Bristol Leaders – 1 February
Birmingham & Northampton Leaders – 8 February

Raiju also served as the principal resource person at several of these leadership sessions, offering spiritual direction, clarity of vision, and encouragement as the regions step into this Jubilee Year united in purpose.

Men Leaders' Retreat

A special highlight of the visit was the Men’s Retreat held on 17–18 January, which brought together male leaders from across the UK. The retreat provided a grace-filled space for prayer, reflection, fraternity, and a renewed commitment to leadership rooted in Christ.
