Dr Midhun Paul | International Coordinator
This past month, I had the privilege of representing our movement at two significant moments in the life of the Church: the Annual Meeting of Coordinators of Ecclesial Movements and the Pentecost celebration with Pope Leo XIV. In both settings, the Holy Father gave us a prophetic and pastoral direction—one that speaks deeply to the heart of our Jesus Youth journey.
Pope Leo reminded us that “Jesus must remain at the center” of all our efforts. Charisms, communities, leadership roles—these are all meaningful only if they serve the encounter with Christ and help the Church bear fruit. He also highlighted the co-essential nature of institutional and charismatic gifts. As Jesus Youth, we are uniquely placed to live out this balance: rooted in the Church and led by the Spirit. In a world marked by division, violence, and isolation, the Pope’s Pentecost message was a burning call to be “builders of unity” and “missionaries of peace.” We are challenged to open the borders of our hearts, break down walls of indifference, and allow the Holy Spirit to renew the Church through our humble, joyful, and missionary lives.
As we move forward, may we stay faithful to our call—not merely as organizers of activities, but as disciples of Pentecost who place everything at the service of Jesus and His Church. Let this be a moment of re-alignment, refocusing our gaze on Christ, and letting the Holy Spirit lead us with boldness and love.
