Renewing Our Values, Vision, and Purpose

The Jesus Youth International Council convened a Listening and Consolidation Session at the Camillian Pastoral Center, bringing together 29 leaders from around the world. This gathering marked an important milestone in the movement’s ongoing journey of renewal and discernment.

Inspired by Pope Francis’ Synod on Synodality, participants engaged in Conversation in the Spirit—a process of prayer, reflection, and communal listening. Far more than a review of reports, the session became a sacred space to recognize the signs of the times and to listen attentively to the movements of the Holy Spirit.

Drawing on insights from regional and national consultations held in 40 countries over the past year, the meeting reaffirmed the identity of Jesus Youth as a missionary movement deeply rooted in today’s realities. Leaders emphasized the importance of growing in step with the challenges and hopes of our time.

The working groups across various countries will continue refining the proposals, ensuring that grassroots perspectives remain central. A comprehensive set of recommendations will be presented at the Jesus Youth International Assembly in November 2025, marking a significant step forward in the movement’s collective discernment and mission alignment.
