National Campus Conference 2025 | If Not Now, When | India

July 2025

The National Campus Conference 2025, with the theme “If Not Now, When”, was held in Kochi, Kerala, from August 14 to 17, 2025.

Hosted at Rajagiri Institutions, Kalamassery, this conference marked a historic milestone in the journey of the Abhi Nahi Toh Kab (“If Not Now, When”) Project. Organized by the National Campus Team, the four-day gathering brought together 548 participants, 426 volunteers, 22 priests, 40 religious, 6 faculty members, and 30 elders, representing 21 states of India and one country outside India, for an experience of grace, fellowship, and renewed missionary zeal.

The Vision: Abhi Nahi Toh Kab

Launched as “An Awakening Call – A global thought to act locally”, the project was designed with three bold objectives:

  • Target300 – Expanding Jesus Youth presence to 300 campuses across India (current count: 175+).
  • AIM25 – Ensuring a 25% increase in leadership formation.
  • Sustainable Regions – Building long-term stability, beginning with the North-East.

To achieve these aims, creative leadership initiatives were introduced. Notable among them were Uthan—a Hindi leadership training held in Agra—and Grooming on Rails, an innovative campus training program conducted during a train journey from Kozhikode to Kashmir. In addition, six campus meets and a regional campus conference engaged over 2,500 campus ministry freshers and another 1,000 students.

The Conference Experience

The conference witnessed vibrant participation from all eight regions, with active involvement from the National Council, Regional Councils, and Coordinating Teams. The Kerala Jesus Youth Council and Campus Coordinating Team played a pivotal role in hosting and organizing the event with warmth and efficiency.

Over four days, participants encountered God through Holy Mass, adoration, and guided reflections, while also engaging in expert sessions, inspiring testimonies, music, theatre, and interactive stalls. Rich moments of fellowship and sharing further highlighted the unity and diversity of campus ministry.

New Dreams for the Future

A key fruit of this gathering was the articulation of renewed directions for campus ministry:

  • Sustainable Campuses – Ensuring that campus prayer groups and gatherings involve not just students but also teaching and non-teaching staff, security personnel, and management.
  • Student Missionary Project – Inspiring students to choose campuses for higher education with mission as their prime focus.
  • Initial Retreats for Freshers – Welcoming new students with a Christ-centered foundation for academic life.

The National Campus Conference 2025 was more than an event—it was an encounter of faith and vision. It renewed young leaders to return to their campuses as missionaries and dreamers of a hopeful future. With Abhi Nahi Toh Kab continuing its journey, the seeds sown during this historic gathering are set to grow into sustainable campuses.
