Last month was truly a time of blessings, with an array of inspiring initiatives that energized us across different fronts. As we step into October, the Mission Month, we find ourselves even more deeply connected to our purpose as a movement. Across the globe, Jesus Youth members have been actively engaged in various mission-driven efforts, creating a ripple effect that resonates far and wide.

The International Mission Team has played a significant role in this, initiating a series of activities, including inspiring video messages, a mission webinar, and gatherings of mission teams. In many countries, local initiatives have also flourished, showing the vibrancy and commitment of our movement to spreading the Gospel.

This month also marks a significant milestone as we embark on the process of listening to the movement. Across several nations, we have begun spiritual conversations, with preparations well underway in others. These conversations are a key step in deepening our collective spiritual journey, ensuring that we remain attentive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

On a larger stage, the Synod is currently underway in Rome, and we are proud to have our own Mathew Thomas from the UAE, who serves as the animator for Jesus Youth UAE and the Middle East, representing the GCC Vicariate. He is joined by Archbishop Raphael Thattil, the Ecclesiastical Advisor to Jesus Youth International, and Bishop Alex Vadakumthala, the Ecclesiastical Advisor for Jesus Youth India.

With the help of these dedicated people, we had the incredible opportunity to present our movement's "listening" efforts to Pope Francis, alongside Cardinals and other Church leaders. Their response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their joy and support for the movement through video messages. These heartfelt words from Pope Francis, along with messages from Cardinals and Bishops, are a source of deep pride and inspiration for us all.

As I reflect on these remarkable moments, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride in being part of this incredible movement. To see such strong support from the universal Church is not just affirming but also motivating. It fills me with joy to say, I am a Jesus Youth, and I belong to this beautiful mission-oriented family. Let us continue to be inspired, as we carry forward the torch of evangelization with renewed zeal this Mission Month!
