The Teens Ministry in India has long been a vibrant platform where teenagers encounter Christ and grow in their faith through the Jesus Youth movement. In an era where diverse cultures, trends, and ideologies increasingly influence teenagers, it has become crucial to focus on reaching out to them and accompanying them on their spiritual journey. To meet this need, the National Teens Ministry launched a groundbreaking initiative - PROTEEN - marking the start of Teens Month this year. The project was officially launched by Justin P J, the National Coordinator of Jesus Youth India, during an online event that brought together nearly 200 leaders from across the country. PROTEEN is set to run until the end of 2025, with the aim of revitalizing the Teens Ministry across India.
Inspired by Jesus' words, "Let the children come to me" (Matt 19:14), and driven by the vision of reaching out to and journeying with teenagers, PROTEEN is calling all leaders in India to action, guided by the Holy Spirit. The National Teens Team envisions consistent outreach efforts, with passionate teen ministers and faith guides walking with teenagers in at least 30 cities across the nation. PROTEEN will provide essential resources, ideas, and support relevant to current times, encouraging and equipping regional and zonal leaders to reach out to teenagers and accompany them in their faith journey. As this initiative gathers momentum, it promises to draw countless teenagers closer to Christ, sparking a revival of faith among the youth in India.
This is a time of action for every Jesus Youth leader across India. PROTEEN is more than just a project—it is something that will transform the lives of teenagers and inspire a new generation of believers. The invitation is clear: Be part of this incredible journey, and together let’s witness a wave of renewal sweeping through the Teens Ministry and the movement in India!
