The Catholic Church is gearing up for an extraordinary celebration in 2025 as Pope Francis has announced the Jubilee Year, a time of renewal, prayer, and global unity. Among the many events planned, the Jubilee for Youth, taking place in Rome from July 28th to August 3rd, 2025, is set to be a significant moment for young Catholics worldwide.
In line with this, Jesus Youth is organizing a special pre-gathering for youth from July 25th to 28th in Assisi, prior to the official Jubilee for Youth event in Rome. This gathering will provide an incredible opportunity for young leaders and members of our movement to come together, engage in prayer, fellowship, and mutual encouragement. Assisi, the land of St. Francis, offers the perfect backdrop for this unique event, allowing participants to deepen their faith and connect with fellow youth from around the world before heading to Rome.
The pre-gathering is designed exclusively for youth, providing a space for meaningful interaction, leadership formation, and spiritual renewal. Jesus Youth leaders from across the globe will have a chance to meet, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as a global missionary movement.
For the Jubilee for Youth in Rome, registration is expected to open in November 2024, and we encourage all those attending to register as part of the Jesus Youth group. Participants are encouraged to join both the pre-gathering in Assisi and the Jubilee as part of a unified experience, allowing for deep fellowship and spiritual preparation.
Additionally, for those seeking an even deeper spiritual journey, we are organizing a pilgrimage across Italy and Medjugorje from July 17th to 24th. This optional pilgrimage will allow participants to visit sacred sites including Rome, Padre Pio, Padua, Venice, Medjugorje, and more, culminating in the Assisi gathering before joining the main Jubilee in Rome. The pilgrimage promises to be a profound experience, enriching participants’ spiritual lives as they walk in the footsteps of saints.
As the countdown to Jubilee 2025 begins, we encourage all young Jesus Youth members to start preparing for these transformative events. The pre-gathering in Assisi and the Jubilee for Youth in Rome are more than just events—they are moments of encounter with Christ, with the Church, and with fellow believers from across the globe.
