Jesus Youth International has prayerfully received and joyfully shares the official communication confirming the appointment of His Excellency Bishop Alex Joseph Vadakumthala, Bishop of Kannur, as the Ecclesiastical Advisor of Jesus Youth International.

Bishop Alex is well known to many within the movement as a close companion and guide. Over the past six years, he has served as the Ecclesiastical Advisor of Jesus Youth India, accompanying the mission with pastoral care, wisdom, and encouragement. The movement gratefully welcomes his acceptance of this important ecclesial responsibility and entrusts his ministry to the prayers of the entire Jesus Youth family worldwide.

At this significant moment, Jesus Youth International also expresses its deep and heartfelt gratitude to His Beatitude Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil for his loving and dedicated service as the Ecclesiastical Advisor of Jesus Youth International since 2018.

For many, His Beatitude has truly been a fatherly presence—guiding, accompanying, and strengthening the movement with constant support and spiritual care. His association with Jesus Youth has been longstanding, extending even prior to his episcopal ministry, during which he generously offered his time, insight, and encouragement.

As the Head of the Syro-Malabar Church, His Beatitude continues to remain close to the movement and has graciously assured his continued accompaniment. The Jesus Youth family remains deeply grateful for his enduring support and assures him of its prayers and communion.

This transition is embraced in a spirit of gratitude and trust, as the movement continues its mission in the Church, guided by the prayerful support and the pastoral care and guidance of the Ecclesiastical Advisors of the movement.
