#TheEverydaySaintChallenge | Qatar
Every year, the Jesus Youth movement worldwide dedicates the month of September as Prayer Month—a time to deepen one’s personal walk with Christ through prayer and holiness in daily life.
This year, the celebration was especially significant as the Universal Church witnessed the canonization of two young saints on 7 September 2025:
- St. Carlo Acutis (1991–2006) – the first millennial saint, who used technology and his Eucharistic devotion to bring souls closer to God.
- St. Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901–1925) – a young layman who joyfully lived out his faith, inspiring others with his motto “To the heights!”
To mark this occasion, Jesus Youth Qatar launched the #TheEverydaySaint Challenge at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Doha. The initiative invites parishioners—especially youth and teens—to take small, consistent steps toward holiness and to walk the “Highway to Heaven” in their ordinary lives.
As part of the initiative:
- Life-sized cutouts of the two saints were installed on the parish grounds as visible reminders that sainthood is possible at any age.
- Parishioners were encouraged to learn from the lives of these young saints and to reflect on how holiness can be lived out in modern times.
- The faithful were invited to take up the #TheEverydaySaint Challenge, making personal commitments to prayer, charity, and daily witness.
Through this inspiring effort, Jesus Youth Qatar seeks to renew in the parish community a desire for holiness—affirming that sainthood is not reserved for a few but is a calling for everyone.
